Akron, Ohio- March 1, 2024 — SweatID, a consumer diagnostic company that provides users with accurate insights into electrolyte loss through sweat using real-time data, completed its highly anticipated Kickstarter Campaign in January of this year. This revolutionary campaign invited athletes, coaches, and fitness enthusiasts to join a movement to redefine athletic performance through groundbreaking personalized fitness innovation.

The Kickstarter campaign—which launched on January 8—was fully completed by mid-January and ultimately raised over $10,000, completing the goal. The campaign offered a unique opportunity for athletes, coaches, and fitness enthusiasts to participate in a Beta Prototype evaluation program. Participants provided valuable feedback on design, ease of use, and performance, while generating data that will refine algorithms and evaluate the data collection/analysis system.

“Our goal has always been to transform the way athletes train and perform,” said Chelsea Monty-Bromer, Founder and Chief Technology Officer at SweatID. “The Kickstarter campaign, which we consider a huge success, was a pivotal step in making that vision a reality and we are excited for what’s to come this year.”

In a fitness landscape saturated with generic solutions, SweatID answers the critical need for personalized performance technology. SweatID is a disposable, nonwoven fabric sensor that can specifically measure the sodium concentration of a person’s sweat in real-time. SweatID is the only sensor system that can monitor multiple athletes on a real-time dashboard using a single iOS device and the coach-friendly app. The data from the sensor can then be used to create a personalized hydration plan.

Individuals interested in the Beta Test Prototype can still participate. Visit our Beta Prototype page for more information.
